Why Join the PTO?

Joining the PTO is one of the best ways to get involved at Sunset Park Elementary. You’ll stay connected, support your child’s education, and help shape the school community through events, volunteering, and fundraising. Every voice matters, and every helping hand makes a difference.

All volunteers must be OCPS ADditions approved.

ADDitions is the volunteer management system that OCPS uses to run background checks, establish volunteer opportunities and log and report volunteer hours. So anyone wishing to serve as a field trip chaperone, classroom volunteer, room parent, or special area (Drama, PE, Art, Media) volunteer must register with OCPS by completing an ADDitions School Volunteer Online Application. This application must be renewed every year! On-line registration is quick & easy, but approval can take up to 4 weeks, so please start early!

Please keep in mind that all volunteers are not only required to be ADDitions approved, but are also required to show a photo ID upon entering the school lobby,
